Michelle Tang

Qualifications:

• Advocate & Solicitor of the Singapore Bar, 2018

Michelle graduated from the University of Birmingham with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2018.

As part of the General Litigation team, Michelle’s practice area is in litigation and dispute resolution. She is involved in a wide variety of matters across various levels of Singapore’s courts, ranging from criminal litigation, commercial and contractual disputes, bankruptcy proceedings, shareholders’ disputes and matrimonial proceedings.

In January 2019, Michelle was emplaced on the panel of the Legal Assistance Scheme for Capital Offences (LASCO) as Junior Assisting Counsel. To date, she has assisted in three (3) LASCO matters involving the importation/exportation and trafficking of drugs and continues to represent individuals facing capital punishment under the law. She is also a volunteer with the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme.

On the non-contentious front, Michelle has assisted in the drafting and review of shareholders’ agreements, non-disclosure agreements, share purchase agreements, as well as probate, wills and trust documents.

Outside of legal practice, Michelle plays ice hockey and spends her time developing skills both on and off the ice. She is also part of the Singapore Women’s National Team and represents Singapore at a regional level.
